Naranjilla (lulo)

The naranjilla, also know as “lulo”, is a type of nightshade grown in the subtropical regions of northwestern South America. The fruit is a vibrant orange color, with an interior that includes shades of yellow and green. The flavor is sometimes described as a mix of pineapple and lime, but truly it has to be tasted as the flavor is absolutely unique. The fuit is delicate and easily damaged in transport; as such, our frozen pulp format is particularly desirable for this fruit. Our puree makes a delicious juice or smoothie when mixed with water and a bit of sugar or your desired sweetener.
